Melbourne has so much to offer and most of the major attractions are within a few blocks of King Street Backpackers. Federation Square is currently considered to be the most popular attraction by visitors followed by Queen Victoria Market and Crown Casino. Renowned for its magnificent gardens Melbourne is also the best place in Australia for good eating and drinking at affordable prices. It can take a week just to explore all of the historic arcades and city lanes lined with shops and cafes. Within 10 minutes walk from the hostel doorstep you will find pubs, night clubs, the Observation Deck, Southbank, Melbourne Aquarium and the National Gallery. Melbourne Zoo, the MCG and Melbourne Museumare within walking distance or you can get there a bit quicker by public transport (train, tram or bus).
