The kitchen area remains open 24 hours a day for guests to prepare meals using modern cooking equipment consisting of 4 gas hotplates, a microwave oven, 2 sinks and 4 large industrial refrigerators. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots and pans ready for guests to cook and/or serve a meal at any time. When storing food guests just need to add a label with their checkout date so staff can dispose of old food items when the fridges are cleaned each week. King Street Backpackers is located very close to a variety of take away food outlets and restaurants; within a 2 minute walk from the hostel you can enjoy Chinese, Indian, Italian or Australian food.
