National Gallery

The National Gallery of Victoria is open from 10am–5pm Tuesday to Sunday; they do open on a Monday if it is a public holiday. The gallery features both modern and historic art from countries around the world. The services provided for National Gallery of Victoria visitors includes lectures, floor talks, art workshops, gallery tours, short films, live performances, activities for children and special events. As well as having permanent displays of Australian art the gallery also presents special exhibitions to give visitors an opportunity to view some of the world’s most extraordinary works of art for limited periods.
