MCG

The MCG is home to the Melbourne Cricket Club, several Victorian AFL teams and the AFL Grand Final. The Melbourne Cricket Club has many special interest groups, sporting sections and facilities including the prestigious long-room for members to enjoy. The Boxing Day Cricket Test is one of the long standing annual Australian sporting events played at the MCG. Promoting itself as “The Peoples Ground” the MCG celebrated its 150th birthday on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 with the handover of the original occupancy certificate. On non-event days between 10am and 3pm visitors can take a tour of the MCG, visit the new MCC Museum and the MCC Library. Tours start from Gate 3 in the Olympic Stand.
