Great Ocean Road
Considered Victorias most popular holiday destination the Great Ocean Road is a monument of Australia’s convict heritage. Starting from Anglesea 110kms from Mel bourne it winds along the South West Victorian coast for approx. 90kms to Apollo Bay before crossing Cape Otway on a windy road that rises to Lavers Hill high in the Otway Ranges. The Great Ocean Road continues onto Warrnambool passing through Peterborough, The Apostles and Port Campbell on the section referred to as the “Shipwreck Coast”. When you are sick of the sun, sand and surf the Otway Ranges Rain Forest offers a different experience to the quant coastal villages, towns, camping grounds and pristine beaches along the coast. Walk high in the tree tops above the forest floor at the Otway Fly, visit the Cape Otway Light station or one of the spectacular waterfalls in the Otway National Park.
