Grampians

The Grampians National Park is a rocky outcrop in Victoria’s western farming district with a rich history in Aboriginal Culture.

This is a beautiful area to visit any time of year, the ancient Grampians landscape changes every season and during spring a stunning wildflower display brings life to the rugged ancient landscape.

Jagged rocky cliffs plunge to gorges and valleys far below setting a spectacular backdrop for the lush native undergrowth abundant with native birds and wildlife. Emus and kangaroos graze in large numbers across the flat plains around the Grampians.

A sealed bitumen road runs from the Western Highway north of Halls Gap to Dunkeld at the parks southern tip. Most other roads in the park are unsealed, Parks Victoria recommend checking with the National Park and Cultural Centre in Halls Gap for the latest information updates on (03) 5361 4000.
